Activities
MSN provides services in the following areas:
Design & Engineering
Marine Service Noord has built up extensive knowledge of all aspects of the technical design of various types of vessels. Ship-builders and naval architects have found their way to MSN during the process of designing a new vessel in order to optimise the complete design and fulfil the needs of the various ship-owners and the market. Even from the earliest stage, MSN can provide basic engineering to enhance the total design efficiency. MSN employees' practical knowledge is valuable for both sophisticated and straightforward solutions for any challenge.
Production & Pre-assembly
In order to guarantee a constant high level of quality, MSN uses the facilities of the affiliated company IMPAS for the production and pre-assembly of piping systems and modules. For logistic purposes the modern factory of IMPAS is adjacent to the location of MSN.
Delivery of Modules & Equipment
MSN offers a full range of equipment required for outfitting a vessel's engine room or land-based machinery installation - both stand-alone equipment and modular systems. In view of the large amounts of equipment ordered annually by MSN, the packages of equipment we supply are not only complete but also highly competitive.
Installation & Outfitting on site
Taking on projects all over the world, MSN works anytime, anywhere - in the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, and Turkey, for instance. In addition to its own personnel, MSN also uses carefully selected local people who carry out their tasks under MSN supervision.
Alignment & Commissioning on site
Besides the delivery of turn-key projects, MSN can be your partner in the performance of specific tasks. MSN has highly experienced alignment engineers with world-wide experience in propulsion alignments of any kind, using the most sophisticated technologies. Similarly, for the commissioning of engine room systems or components, MSN has experienced commissioning engineers available who know all there is to know about dry-cargo vessels, sophisticated IMO-3 tankers and propulsion power systems ranging from 1,000 kW up to 20,000 kW. MSN commissioners are carefully selected highly experienced former ocean-going engineers.
Supervision on site
MSN can provide on-site supervision for vessels that are outfitted by any yard, anywhere, in accordance with European standards. MSN supervisors have experience with Eastern-European yards as well as yards in the Middle and Far East. MSN also offers supervision during engineering phase.
You can also contact MSN for TURN-KEY PROJECTS and RETRO-FITS & CONVERSIONS.
